The included X-lock is a special mini u-lock – practical and extremely robust. The special shackle provides enough length to lock the rear wheel of your bike. Your bike is double secured!
The minds behind Tex-Lock are bike fans with body & soul, and product developers with passion & devotion. Equipped with textile know-how and dissatisfied with existing bicycle lock solutions, founders Alexandra Baum and Suse Brand developed the idea for Tex—Lock. Since the two women from Leipzig, Germany, travel a lot by bicycle, they experienced the frustration of having to ride around with a clattering, unwieldy metal bicycle lock. Love the lightweight nature and the length of the cable. It allows me to wrap around different areas of the bike and secure my saddle cable as well.
The u-lock is solid and easy to use.
My only concern right now is with the cover over the opening for the keyhole on the u-lock. I’ll have to see how it wears over time. It seems a bit fragile and might not stay in position after a while, depending on how the u-lock is positioned when the bike is locked. Also, hoping it doesn’t crack.
